Girish Agrawal, is appointed as an Accountant Member at Kolkata Benches of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT).

Did his schooling from Sathya Sai School, Indore and was awarded Gold Medal for Model Sai Student. He secured 2 nd rank in Indore University in commerce graduation.

He completed his CA qualification in Nov. 1996 exam at an age of 23. Also completed the Company Secretary course in 1997 and is an associate member of ICSI. In the later part of his career, he pursued law and completed LLB (Hons.) in 2018.

During practice, he had excellent exposure to diverse work areas like Direct Tax Litigation representation at High Courts and ITAT Benches, Transfer Pricing services, Income Tax Search & Survey matters, Company Law matters, Corporate Mentoring, Business Solution & Management consulting.

A tech-savvy and committed professional, has many honors to credentials, including being an executive member of the Direct Tax Committee of Chamber of Tax Consultants (CTC), Mumbai and of Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society (BCAS) Core Group in the past. Others being -

1. Held the posts of Hon. Secretary in Tax Bar at Tribunal, Indore and Founder Member of Core Group of Academy of Indore Marathoners (AIM)

2. Was awarded 100% Leo Club President from Lions International, USA

3. Captained the Madhya Pradesh under-19 years State Football team in National School Games at Shillong, Meghalay

4. Completed 21 kms (Half Marathon) at Mumbai Marathon in 2013, 2014 and 2016 & several others at Delhi, Kolkata, Bhopal, Mhow

5. Completed brevet of 200 kms cycling in Nov 2016 in 12 hours

6. Regularly contributed articles and gave lectures at various professional forums and journals and has been an active member of AIFTP, BCAS, CTC, IMA, TPA, to name a few…
